Website Mind Chicago

We are looking for Illinois state licensed clinicians (e.g., LSW, LCSW, LCP, LCPC, etc.) with 1.5-2+ years of meaningful training and experience in one or more of the following evidence-based therapies – DBT, ERP, PCIT, SPACE, and/or PMT. We also provide extensive, high-quality, evidence-based training to all staff at the onset of employment and throughout their time with us to get up-to-speed in all the therapies we provide.

We are specifically seeking Individual Therapists who specialize in working with youth 5 – 17 years old and their parents. This position requires on-site work with children and families on your choice of three (2-3) days between Thursday and Monday, and you may also choose to work virtually off-site on your choice of days, Tuesday – Wednesday. We’d especially love someone who wants a 3-day in-person schedule of Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (and attend a 1-hour team meeting every other week on Tuesdays) – but this is not a requirement for applying or working with us. Please note that more than 60% of referrals are in-person, so your caseload will fill the quickest with in-person openings. All first-year staff are asked to work one weekend day of their choice (F – Su).

Candidates with the following training and experience are strongly encouraged to apply:

  • ERP for youth with severe anxiety disorders and OCD

  • DBT for children or adolescents

  • LGBTQIA2S+ youth and families

  • Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Parent Management Training (PMT), or Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

These are full-time, hybrid (in-person sessions required) W-2 positions.

  • Competitive commission pay structure

  • Flexible scheduling and paid time off (PTO)

  • Employer-sponsored health care insurance benefits

  • Employer-paid professional liability insurance

  • Emphasis on wellness with no minimum caseload (average caseload is 15 clients)

  • Hybrid work opportunity

  • Matching IRA (3%) and other employee benefits

  • Ongoing consultation/supervision and annual CEU reimbursement

  • Additional paid job opportunities (speaking, writing, & webinars)

  • Progressive outpatient parental leave policy and pay

  • Support of a well-established & well-respected practice with a broad network around Chicagoland

  • Wildly supportive, thoughtful, and hilarious colleagues

  • Estimated annual pay ranges from $67,000 to $105,000 if you choose to see 15 or more clients per week; pay also depends on post-master’s degree experience and your chosen caseload.

  • Total compensation is much higher when including our many benefits (i.e., phone & computer reimbursement, employer-sponsored health insurance, professional development benefits, matching IRA, etc.).

  • Additionally, clinicians may seek to increase their pay by facilitating groups, writing, speaking, or adding additional clients to their caseload.

Interested applicants should send the below items to [email protected]:

  • A brief letter of intent that describes your professional interests and values. Please do not restate what is in your resume, but rather give us a glimmer of your joys and interests as a pediatric therapist! We’re a light-hearted group of people, so sharing your joy for the work in your letter of intent is more than okay.

  • Resume/CV

  • Two references

  • Please include the pronouns you use in your email or resume.
