Our clinical services center the needs and wellbeing of LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, couples, families, and communities—and we work every day to close the LGBTQ+ mental health service gap across Chicago and Illinois.

Our Therapy Services

CTC offers a wide range of therapeutic services designed to support people across different identities, life stages, and experiences. Our clinicians provide:

  • Individual therapy for adults, teens, and elders
  • Relational therapy for partners, couples, and families
  • Specialized trauma-informed care
  • Expert Gender-affirming support
  • Identity exploration, transition-related care, and LGBTQ+-affirming mental health services
  • Healing-centered modalities such as somatic therapy, mindfulness, and parts-based work (IFS)
  • Group Therapy and Peer Support Groups
  • Specialized services for LGBTQ+ refugees, asylees, and asylum seekers
  • Therapy Services in English, Spanish, Portuguese; some groups and expressive arts offerings available in Arabic.

Insurance, Payment & Accessibility Options

  • Private Insurance:  BCBS PPO, BCBC Blue Choice, Aetna PPO 
  • Medicaid:  Blue Cross Community Plans and  Illinois HFS Plans
  • Out of Network Insurance: we can provide a superbill
  • Self pay
  • Sliding scale and low fee therapy is available to those who are uninsured, underinsured or otherwise face barriers to accessing care

No one is turned away based on ability to pay for therapy services. High quality therapy should be available to all!
