Ways to Give to CTC

Thank you for your dedication to supporting LGBTQ+ affirming mental health care across Illinois! Below you’ll learn more about the most popular ways in which our community supports the mission of CTC.

If you’re interested in learning about other ways to give, such as IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions, gifts of stock or real assets, or workplace matching of your gift, please contact [email protected]

Give the Gift of affirming care

Your generous gift to CTC goes directly to cover the costs of providing affirming, no-barrier mental health treatment to LGBTQ+ people across Illinois.

CTC has set the ongoing goal of having 30% of our services be fully or partially charitably supported, and what sets us apart is our dedicated community of supporters who help us keep LGBTQ+ mental health at the forefront.

Give Through a Donor advised fund (DAF)

A donor-advised fund (DAF), which is like a charitable savings account, is a simple, flexible way to give. It provides you with the ability to recommend how much and how often money is granted to CTC, while allowing for a substantial up-front tax benefit. You can recommend a grant or recurring grants now to make an immediate impact or use your fund as a tool for future charitable gifts.

If you choose to make a DAF gift to us, please use our legal name and federal tax ID if you include CTC in your philanthropic plans via your Donor Advised Fund.

Become a Monthly donor

You can help further CTC’s ongoing work to close the LGBTQ+ therapy gap in Illinois by contributing directly to someone’s care. Therapy is not a one-time investment; it involves sustained commitment, work, and time from both client and therapist.

Donors like you ensure that those most in need of care will always be able to find it with CTC. A monthly gift of as little as $25 provides consistent care to a client, and gifts of $100 or more cover weekly therapy sessions for that client for the duration of your gift.

Sponsor a CTC Event

CTC holds and participates in several community events on a yearly basis, including Andersonville’s Midsommarfest, Andersonville Art Weekend, and our forthcoming annual fundraiser.

For our dedicated partner agencies, small business partners, and friends in the corporate world, becoming a sponsor of one or all of our events is the perfect way to give the gift of affirming care through CTC while also ensuring your team can have a great time! Event sponsors gain access to special CTC offerings as thanks for bolstering our clinical work.

Give a Gift in Honor of Others

If you have a loved one who is passionate about affirming, accessible mental health care, or who has been impacted by CTC’s work, establishing a tribute gift in their name is a meaningful way to honor their legacy or celebrate an important date, such as a birthday or anniversary, while meaningfully investing in LGBTQ+ health across Illinois.

You can make a gift in honor of someone either online, by checking the box labeled “This is a tribute gift,” specifying the type of tribute and name of the individual, via check by listing the tribute in the memo line, or via any other type of gift by talking with your financial advisor about how to properly label a tribute.
