Chicago Therapy Collective is spearheading a northside coalition of 15 partner organizations to rally support for Youth Empowerment Performance Project and its mutual aid network, CYMA. As a northside coalition we strive to bolster CYMA’s mutual aid network while simultaneously growing our own mutual aid practice on the northside of the city.
The Chicago Youth Mutual Aid (CYMA), is an effort born from the collaboration of five Black and Brown grassroots led organizations in Chicago serving youth and their families: Assata’s Daughters, Chicago Freedom School, Circles & Cyphers, Street Youth Rise Up and Youth Empowerment Performance Project. Initially a response to COVID-19, CYMA’s members work to build this coalition into a long-term effort.
