Vicente Ugartechea, Exhibit Producer

Vicente Ugartechea is a trans, first generation Mexican-American artist and educator. Drawing from personal narrative, they explore landscapes of constructed normativities, ethnocentrism, and privilege as a way of defining and redefining issues that subsist within marginalized identities. Currently, they are exhibiting work internationally and are primarily interested in queer cruising rituals (both in the digital and physical), bodily language and queer archives as a manner of investigating potentials of sex, sexuality and gender.
